We pitched them two different versions of what Dr. Sheena, The Creative Writer could look like.
Dr. Sheena wanted folks to see the Billboard to understand that she was a writer and that folks can tap into her to learn more about how they can work together or better support her.
Idea 1: Revolves around creating a world of energy around words. This would flash back and forth creating a small animation of the fluttering papers. We shot this in a library since the copy “Shaping futures,” and consuming education can be seen hand in hand at a library. Dr. Sheena is wearing her signature red with glimpses of that energy thoughout the photos as “lighting rods.”
Idea 2: Dr. Sheena is confident, bold, and resilient. Coming from sports, I’ve always followed and loved the sports world for their confident campaigns. Athletes seemingly always have an underdog mentality or strength component to them. Dr. Sheena is seen exactly in this way, so I thought… why would I not blend the confident, strength like energy seen in the sports world to a campaign for a women that embodies those qualities.
